Mark your calendars for ‘Tommy Sanford Day, Saturday, July 30, 10:00AM at the Almaville Volunteer Fire Department

Please join Property Assessor Rob Mitchell and Rep. Mike Sparks in celebrating ‘Tommy Sanford Day’ Saturday, July 29, beginning at 10:00AM at the Almaville Volunteer Fire Department, 911 One Mile Lane, Smyrna.

Tommy Sanford dedicated 52 years of his life to public service.  Few people know all Tommy has done for this community.  Tommy was a humble servant – it was not his way to seek attention for himself.  He set about to make things better for our community one step at a time.

The award winning Almaville Volunteer Fire Department is one such example.  Tommy recognized the need to protect the lives and property of his neighbors and took steps to ensure their safety.  Tommy may not be with us in body, but he is most assuredly with us in spirit.  It is through community service and dedication to community improvement that we honor Tommy.  It is through us that he lives on, in our hearts and through our deeds.

We dedicate the Tommy Sanford Memorial mile in his beloved Almaville as a small token of our love and admiration as well as a reminder to follow his example.

The celebration will conclude with a dedication of the ‘Tommy Sanford Memorial Mile’ sign placement presented by State Representative Mike Sparks (R-Smyrna).

See you this Saturday morning!
